In an interview with TMZ, Syd of The Internet revealed that she and the rest of group are working on a new album. She also talked about the release of her new single “GMFU” ahead of her own album. Syd also mentioned that fellow bandmate Steve Lacy also has an album in the works. Lacy’s album is set to be titled Oh Yeah and he released the single “Nice Shoes” on August 15th.

Formed in 2011, The Internet is a soul and alternative R&B group from Los Angeles, California. They released four albums before going on a hiatus in 2022. Whenever they do eventually release their next album, it would be the group’s first album since Hivemind in 2018.
